I will be teaching a silkscreen workshop at Common Thread Studio in South Pasadena this month! Learn the complete process of silkscreening, from burning the screen to processing and printing on to a t-shirt.

When: Saturday, September 18 from 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Where: Common Thread Studio, 1011A Mission Street, South Pasadena, CA
How much: $100 (t-shirt included)

What you need to bring:

Bring one color artwork on 8 1/2 x 11 transparent paper (ink jet transparent paper works well) You can also go to Kinko’s to have them print it out on a transparency. (REQUEST TO PRINT ON COLOR MACHINE – the black is much darker)
Image must be printed in SOLID BLACK (just to be safe, bring 2 pages of the same for layering)
Bring the item you want to print on OR you can choose a t-shirt or tank from our selection (included in class price)

If you just want to learn the process and don’t have a particular artwork you want to print, you can choose from our selections.

Dooley strikes again at Velo Studio for the Fine Bicycles, Fine Art exhibit series held the final Thursday of every month. Mtbchick {art} curates the art of cycling and cyclists for Velo Studio. The next art night will be held June 24, 2010 from 6-9 p.m.

June’s theme is Le Tour, a Fascinating Look at the World’s Toughest Sporting Event featuring work by Keira Dooley. Velo Studio specializes in custom high end road bicycles and custom fits with Rick Babington, USAC Cycling Coach and Retul fitter.
