About the Artist

A cycling enthusiast, Dooley creates artwork that often feeds the desire for jumping back into the saddle again. Her works of art summon a sense of nostalgia for youthful diversions and/or explore historic and contemporary verses of feminism in relation to bicycles.

Dooley received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Printmaking from California State University, Long Beach and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drawing from the University of Florida.

A resident of Long Beach, California, Dooley serves as the webmaster and art director for the Division of Student Services at California State University, Long Beach. She is also a professor in the College of Engineering at California State University, Long Beach teaching a computer science lecture and lab on introductory web design.
